Dark Portal Rework

Overview

• The probability of having a chance to enter the Dark Portal has been increased.
  
• There are new daily quests.
  
• The requirements for gaining the Demon Dragon accessory sets and the Wonder Drugs have been changed.
  
• After the Dark Portal has been completed, the character will receive a buff.

1. Content that has changed

1.1 Entry

• The Dark Portal will appear more frequently once a dungeon has been completed. This frequency is higher at the weekends.
  
• If entry to the Dark Portal is refused by all group members, the group will remain intact.
  
• If all group members wish to enter the Dark Portal, the group will also remain intact.
  
• If a portion of the group does not wish to enter the Dark Portal, those who have refused the Dark Portal will be removed from the group.
  

1.2 Reward

• Instead of 2x Compressed Darkness, the reward is now 3x Piece of Scale from the Demon Dragon and 1x Chrysoberyl of Darkness.
  
• Enemies in the Dark Portal now drop the following items: Soul of Darkness, Magic Stone, Enhanced Magic Stone, Eldrit Shard (unknown), Blessed Weapon Upgrade Stone, Blessed Armour Upgrade Stone, Piece of Scale from the Demon Dragon and [CoBo] Blessed Time-Space Scroll Exchange Coupon.
  

1.3 UI

The dungeon results and the window for entering the Dark Portal appear at the same time. To do so, the exit button in the top-right corner has been removed.

• The elixirs made from Compressed Darkness can new be produced at the alchemists.

'Chrysoberyl of Darkness' can be exchanged:

• 2x Chrysoberyl of Darkness: (selection) 12x Blessed Weapon Upgrade Stone, 18x Blessed Armour Upgrade Stone, 18x Magic Stone, 9x Enhanced Magic Stone, 12x Vitality Potion or 6x Luto's Admission Ticket
  

Compressed Darkness is no longer available through exchanges.

2.3 New quest

Daily quest (level 35+): 'Halt the Demon Invasion!'; requires: 2x destroy Dark Portal; reward: 6x Hessonite

2.4 Buff

• The buff for completing the Dark Portal lasts for 30 minutes.
  
• If the Dark Portal is played through again whilst the buff duration is still active, the buff duration will be reset.
  
• The buff reduces repair costs, increases movement speed, MP regeneration and damage of special active and hyper skills.
  

2.5 Miscellaneous

Information on the Dark Portal has been updated in the Game Guide (F12).

Rework of defence and Devastation

1. Defence adjustment

• Calculation of values changed
  
• Defence of NPCs in PvE adjusted
  
• Defence of NPCs in PvP increased
  

2. Devastation adjustment

• If the Devastation value increases, the min. damage also increases.
  
• If the value of Devastation reaches at least 50%, the damage is never lower than the standard damage output.
  
• If the value of Devastation reaches at least 100%, the damage is always the maximum.
  
• Tooltip UI for Devastation in the character window has been changed.
  

Rework of the Item Identification System

 

• The 'additional effect' of an item will be split into a 'set effect' and a 'random effect'.
  
• The set effect will be displayed even on an item that has not been identified and will not be changed should you reverse the identification process.
  
• The random effect will be displayed once the item has been identified. This is the only value that can be reset by using a Blessed Time-Space Scroll.
  

 

• The random effect can have higher values than that of the former additional effect (excludes accessories from the Dark Portal, PvP and Ereda Island).
  
• The average value of the random effect is as high as the value of the additional effects were before.
  
• With the adjustment, for weapons the maximum value for critical hits increases by 2% and for armour and accessories, by 1%.
  
• Weapons that previously had critical hit +1% will now have critical hit between 1% and 3% after the adjustment.
  

 

The following random effects are possible, for weapons, armour and accessories:

There is a new Blessed Time-Space Scroll which is not limited to specific level ranges. You can use it to remove the random effects from items. Process:

1. Click on the 'Blessed Time-Space Scroll'. The mouse cursor changes.

2. Click on the item whose value is to be reset.

3. The new identification UI will open. It shows the names and random effects on the item.

4. Clicking on the 'Undo' button resets the random effects (the item will then be classified as not identified) and a 'Blessed Time-Space Scroll' will be consumed.

5. Click on the 'Identify' button to apply a new random effect.

Non-identified items in your inventory will continue to be identified by using right-click.

 

The old Blessed Time-Space Scrolls can still be used, but they can no longer be purchased. Instead, they can be exchanged for new scrolls (excludes the event items):
